Documents Needed For
Applying For A Mortgage
When meeting with a mortgage loan officer you should have the
following documents
ready for the application.

Copies of W2's for the last 2 years. If you are
self-employed, bring the last years personal and business tax
returns

Copies of Asset Statements (all pages) covering the last 60
days
(Bank Accounts, IRA statement, Stocks, etc.)

Copies of Paystubs for the last 2 months.

If you own other real estate, bring details of the properties
(address, any leases on the property, etc.)

If you are refinancing, bring the deed for the property you
are refinancing, so we have the legal description, also bring
the last mortgage statement so we have the contact information.

If you have a bankruptcy, collections or judgments on your
credit report, we will need a letter explaining the reason and
circumstances of each

If you have filed bankruptcy in the 4 years, bring your
discharge papers (all pages) so we can make sure your credit
report shows those included accounts as having a zero balance.
